After an Autumn/Winter 2015 collection inspired by ‘Chinatown grandmas’ – as Sandy Liang says -, the Spring/Summer 2016 collection still takes us to the streets of New York city with its apparent urban influence.
When you take a first look at the collection, the pieces are eclectic, various, with patterns, textures and fabrics quite different but, this whole mix is eventually homogeneous and harmonious. The collection is young, dynamic and this lookbook setting perfectly catchs it.
Next summer, Sandy Liang will make you wear denim: jeans, jackets, dresses, shorts, anything that can be worn! We also noted a come back of the Vichy checks, styled with plain and structured pieces to turn this pattern into something modern. The leather jackets get both feminine – with embroidered flowers – and deconstructed, with a pocket sewn on the back of the piece.
Special mention to the furry and colored pouch and cropped jacket that give the collection relief.
