For her Fall/Winter 2015 collection, Yu Amatsu – Hanae Mori’s creative director – has done such an impressive work. And it starts with the number of looks presented: 58. The rest of the collection is equally remarkable as the style is really accurate and tasty. The show directly introduces structured figures with feminine details: lace, long dress, round collars and hems. Keeping away the black – grey – navy blue combo, she uses both fresh and pale colors: neon green, sky blue, light red or lilac; either in the edging of the tweed or in a total look. As the models strode the catwalk, the collection becomes more minimalist with innovative cuts and shapes: a sleeveless knit almost arrives to the model’s foot while capes have an oversized cut. The looks mix smooth and embossed fabrics, giving textures to fluid and simple pieces. Besides from the psychedelic and geometrical eye-catching prints, a particular “accessory” caught our attention. The look #12 kind of boot suspender which comes out from a skirt and transforms this classic outfit into something intriguing.
